How billing works
How paying for Odel works, plans and credits, and where each part is documented.
Billing on Odel belongs to an organization, never to a person. Your personal organization pays for what you use; a team organization pays for itself. Only an organization's owner sees its billing pages.
Two things cost money, and they do different jobs:
| A plan | Credits | |
|---|---|---|
| Pays for | Odel itself: how long logs and stats are kept, how many calls a month, build minutes | Calls to priced modules and gateways, at the price their owner sets, and more calls a month past the plan's |
| How you pay | A monthly subscription | Bought in advance, at least 10 at a time |
| Without it | You're on Free, which covers the basics | Free modules still work; priced ones refuse the call |
A paid plan also includes a few credits every month.
Who handles what
- Odel keeps the balance, charges each call, and works out refunds.
- Stripe takes the payment, keeps your card, and issues the invoices. Odel never sees your card number.
