How to browse, install, and manage Odel modules
Installing Modules
Installing a module adds its tools and capabilities to your Odel profile. Once installed, the module becomes available through any MCP client you've connected.
Account Required
You'll need an Odel account to install modules. Sign up if you haven't already.
Installation Steps
Browse the Marketplace
Navigate to odel.app/modules to explore available modules. Use categories and search to find what you need.
View Module Details
Click on a module card to see its full description, available tools, required secrets, and user reviews. The Endpoints tab shows all the tools the module provides.
Click "Add to My Modules"
On the module detail page, click the Add to My Modules button. If you're not signed in, you'll be prompted to log in first.
Configure Required Secrets
If the module requires API keys or credentials, a dialog will appear asking you to enter them. Fill in all required fields and click Install.
Keep Secrets Safe
Your secrets are encrypted on the odel platform, but are decrypted when supplied to the module. Be careful when using community modules as Odel can not guranatee what they do with you secrets after they recieve them.
Start Using the Module
The module is now installed! Connect an MCP client to start using its tools with your AI assistant.
Managing Installed Modules
Viewing Your Modules
You can see all your installed modules on:
- The module market at odel.app/modules (Filter by installed)
- Individual module pages (shows "Installed" badge)
Updating Secrets
If you need to change a module's API keys or credentials:
Navigate to Module Config
Go to the module's detail page and click the Config tab.
Edit Secrets
Click Edit Secrets to open the secrets dialog. Enter new values for the secrets you want to update.
Leave a field empty to keep its current value. Only secrets you modify will be updated.
Save Changes
Click Save to update your secrets. The changes take effect immediately.
Uninstalling Modules
To remove a module from your profile:
Navigate to Module Config
Go to the module's detail page and click the Config tab.
Click Uninstall
In the Danger Zone section, click Uninstall Module.
Confirm Removal
Review the warning and confirm. All your secrets and configuration for this module will be permanently deleted.
